About Me

My name is Simone, and I am your passionate, knowledgeable,  and often humorous Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Consultant.

I am a fully certified Clinical Supervisor and meet all CRPO criteria to supervise. With over 15 years in the social work field, I have dedicated my career to mental health and racialized communities. My dedication has led me to be an award-winning mental health and anti-racist thought leader, and a co-author in the first of its kind, the ground-breaking Canadian text Africentric Social Work. My goal here is to share my wealth of knowledge and skills, mentor, guide, and advise those just as dedicated to the field and overall humanity, as I am.

My rich work history has taken me to settings such as hospitals, community health centres, educational systems, group homes, associations, shelters, youth mental health agencies, corporate, and government agencies. I am an integrative therapist with training in Trauma Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Somatic practices . My approach, no matter the client, is embedded with the Love Lens™ framework, trauma informed care, attachment, anti-racist, culturally attuned, and a holistic lens. My expertise shine in the areas of supporting individuals, couples, and families struggling with anxiety, depression, anger, racial trauma, intergenerational trauma,  relationship concerns, trauma, self-worth, internalized racism, shame, and grief. As a supervisor I am very relational and focus as deeply on the clinician as I do the skills, creating space to explore areas like countertransference and transference, cultural attunement, therapist wellness, and therapeutic identity.

Whether you are a new or seasoned mental health practitioner, student or a leader, I have supervised and consulted them all. I am hoping to support you in the best way possible to see you thrive. Allow me to walk alongside you today!!

Approach to Supervision

My supervision is grounded in one core belief: your development as a clinician matters. Supervision here is clinical work, but also relational, reflexive, and trauma-informed. We explore your cases, your clinical decisions, and your therapeutic approach, but I also need to understand not just what you're doing, but how you're doing it. Some of the things we work together on: 1. Clinical excellence: Your case conceptualization, therapeutic skills, and evidence-based practice 2. Countertransference and transference: What's happening in the room and what you're bringing to it 3. Cultural attunement: How your identity shapes your clinical work and how you show up with clients 4. Therapist wellness: Your capacity, your nervous system, your sustainability in this work 5. Therapeutic identity: Who you are as a clinician and how you're developing in the field My approach is embedded with the Love Lens™ framework, trauma-informed care, attachment theory, anti-racist practice, and a holistic lens. Whether you're a new practitioner finding your footing, a seasoned clinician deepening your practice, a student, or an emerging leader, I've supervised them all.
