About Me
As an integrative therapist, I practice primarily from an Emotion Focused Approach (EFT). Emotion helps me understand what we do (action) and why we do it (meaning). Other modalities I draw on include DBT, CPT, and positive psychology.
My supervision style is highly collaborative and learner centred. Supervision will be a blend of exploring clinical questions, discussing client cases, role plays, and reviewing audio/video to focus on the process of psychotherapy. Together we will develop learning goals and work on developing and enhancing competencies. I offer individual, dyadic and group supervision. Group supervision is weekly/bi-weekly/monthly small group supervision (4 people). Sessions are 90 minutes in length and virtual.
I work primarily with young adults and adults. Common reasons people see me are for anxiety, stress, depression, grief, trauma, interpersonal/relationship concerns and career and life transitions. I have over 20 years’ experience working with people who are managing life and career transitions, exploring and deciding on career options and supporting personal and professional development.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist and a Canadian Certified Counsellor. I completed my doctorate in counselling psychology at OISE/University of Toronto.
