Alysha Bernstein (RP MACP TIT-C), Alysha Bernstein Therapy

Alysha is a registered psychotherapist and holds a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology. Alysha has a passion for working with individuals and couples who are currently or have previously experienced; interpersonal conflict, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and issues with coping in daily life. She holds post-graduate certifications in; Addictions and Mental Health, Clinical Traumatology, Indigenous Studies, and various therapeutic modalities (including Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative & Relational Therapies, Bowen Family Systems Therapy, Structural Family Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS)). 

Alysha had years of experience as a peer support worker with the Survivor Support Program at Distress Centres of Greater Toronto. In that time, she worked in-person with individuals, families, and groups who have experienced a death by suicide or homicide in their lives. She also helped with training new program facilitators and has given workshops for their annual conference on suicide loss. Previous work includes providing support for children and solo female-led families living in the shelter system and managing ground-breaking research in infant and mother emotional development and resiliency.
