Approach to Supervision

I practice a relational model of supervision, which aligns with how I work as a therapist. This means that I believe that the supervisor does not hold authority or power over a supervisee, rather, we work as a team to reach your professional goals, address concerns or questions about client-facing work, manage ethical dilemmas or navigate the art of being a therapist. I believe in a supervisee’s inherent knowledge in the supervisory space (lived experience, training, client experience, previous work experience or innate skills). Regardless of skill level or depth of knowledge I will serve as a facilitator, coming with curiosity and although I will give feedback and resources as well, I ensure space is given to collaborate and build a strong and positive working relationship.
