I'm a trauma specialist (somatics) with 16+ years of clinical experience. I use IFS, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Brainspotting, and Trauma Informed Stabilization treatment. My subspecialties include perinatal trauma and spiritual trauma. I currently work in private practice, but earlier in my career I worked in hospitals as a Spiritual Care Provider (Psychospiritual Therapist) and in various non-profits, mostly centered on boarding homes and shelters (women and youth).
I currently supervise individuals and dyads, at any stage of your clinical development (students, RPQs, working toward independent practice, in independent practice). The need for support is lifelong in this profession (I access it myself) and I proudly support people who are engaged in ongoing professional learning. I am committed to continually renewing my skills through training and professional development as well.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and focused on building your capacity so you can avoid burnout. I will support you to maintain good boundaries and work safely with curiosity and compassion. I'm passionate about instilling good ethical discernment as an inner compass that guides appropriate action. We will also look at the nuts and bolts of your practice: is the way you're working sustainable? Is your schedule manageable?
In supervision, I want to draw out your most compassionate, intuitive self. I will challenge you when necessary, but the foundation of trust between us is paramount. I will welcome and learn about the parts of you that might get noisy or distracting when you're in a clinical situation, and help all parts of you to work in harmony. Most of all, I want to create an environment where you grow in confidence and clarity, and help you to access the well of strength that is already in you.
